New Wall and Family Room Windows! This remodeling project required a complete tear-out of the existing brick and load bearing wall. The homeowner was tired of the tall narrow fixed windows in her family room and the cold room temperatures in the winter. Upon inspecting the exterior wall, we found that the brick facia was bowing and failing, and that the plywood sheathing behind the brick was also rotted and failing. We knew that the brick and wall would require rework anyway in order to accept the two new larger windows that she wanted, so our solution was to remove the brick on the family room wall, demolish the existing wall, and rebuild it the correct way. The T1-11 siding that we installed matched the rest of the previous addition seemlessly, and allowed us to upgrade her insulation value dramatically. She now had a more comfortable room with the windows that she wanted at a price that was within reason. Scroll your mouse over the "after" pictures to see the transformation.
